64. Update on Aileen

In her dorm, Aileen always seems to have a mess of laundry she swears she will put away.

Aileen will never not get chipotle mayo on her sandwich, even if she’s repulsed by regular mayo.

Aileen often wonders if she did the right thing when she expresses her feelings. As Aileen always thinks of other people before she thinks about herself.

At the movie theaters, Aileen will never buy the calorie-filled, buttery popcorn, but will always purchase the overpriced, stale hotdog.

Aileen often thinks she spends too much money, but then retaliates that money’s purpose is to be spent.

Aileen always buys a chocolate bar when she’s feeling down. She believes they have magical healing powers.

Aileen likes to think of herself as a free spirit. She sometimes thinks her carelessness towards herself will end up ruining her.

Aileen is afraid of heights but loves roller coasters. She however has horrible motion sickness.

Aileen cannot stand the color red anywhere else besides if it is painted on her nails. Aileen can never go without having her nails done. She feels sad if there isn’t a fun quirky smile or heart design on them.

It’s often hard for people to believe that Aileen is a reader, because of how chaotic she is. Many people think reading doesn’t suit her as a hobby.

Aileen often wonders if she thinks about the things she wants to write about more than actually writing about them.

Aileen can never go a day without saying she misses her son. People are often confused by this, but quickly realize she is referring to her pet cat, Lolo.

Aileen eats way too many goldfish but swears they’re good for her since they contain “protein”; her friends disagree.

Aileen can’t remember the last time she got upset with someone and meant it. She finds it hard to be angry at others, even when she should be.

Sometimes Aileen thinks she lacks the self-respect to walk away from people. Aileen thinks she gives people too many “second” chances.

Most days, Aileen will call herself a ‘bum’ mainly because she’s always tired and refuses to get out of bed till the last minute.

Aileen loves to spend every waking minute of her day with the people she loves. She hates being alone.

At night, Aileen will spend hours scrolling through her phone watching people build puzzles before she realizes she should’ve been long asleep. It’s okay though, she’s happy. Most of the time at least.
